I wouldn't be concerned with high mileage if the 4runner was cared for. I have over 160K on my 2000, and I have no doubt it will give me another 160K. It still drives like new.

Fixed the problem by replacing the junction box on the drivers side, where the fuses are contained. I paid $150 or so for the part. Easy to replace, did the job in about 15 minutes.

I have the Saturn HU installed in my 00 4runner. I didn't need to modify the dash opening, I just used a dremel to trim down a plastic piece behind the dash. Most of the modification needs to be done to the radio itself. That must be trimmed down a bunch. But I only paid $25 for the Scion HU...
