HELP! Check engine light, hesitation.... ACK!

Hello all.

I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a 2000 4runner Limited. I was driving the other day, and when I accellerated it started bucking and hesitating, and the CEL kept flashing.

I pulled the codes and received:

P0306 - Cylinder #6 misfire
P0300 - Random multiple misfires.

I replaced the coil pack for this cylinder, and it didn't help. (Darn)

Any other ideas? (I did a search)

Suspecting the coil pack is a good idea, however next time just swap two of them around to see if the problem follows the coil pack.

Your misfire is detected on cylinder # 6. Was this the coil that you replaced?
If so, then I would yank out that spark plug for a visual examination.

That's exactly what I did today. The plug boot was cracked.

Why I didn't bother to look at that yesterday is beyond me.
