Ignition refresh: going Denso this time

I like oem Denso full array for longevity. Like others said, coil boots are a must, Denso is cheap on Rock Auto. Coils will very rarely fail, you can get a million miles on them, but fresh coil boots are a must on every plug wire replacement. One way you can see a coil boot failure is to squeeze...

SEASONAL RUST PROOFING using WD-40 only

Update, WD40 poor boys rust vaccine still working, no sign of rust infection with over 400K of salt exposure. Did my seasonal booster spray in December. No social distancing from salt required, just avoid high pressure car wash under spray as it will wear down effectiveness.

Another brake thread - Power Stop quality

I did a quality TBU with Centric rotors and zinc dipped calipers, very happy with the performance. The stock setup is to prone to rotor pulse. Here's my write up. TUNDRA BRAKE UPGRADE parts options

    Brake Options? Downsizing?

Better option upsize wheels instead of decreasing stopping power. I have the big Tundra upgrade brakes, nice having good brakes on my lead sled.

    Body mounts: too much weight?

I've worn out stock rear mounts on a 99 I had 6 years ago, had about 300K, it was bad enough it would bang hitting big bumps. You can replace just the rear mounts if you want, that's what I did. My current 99 I have Energy Suspension (urethane) body mounts and a 1 inch body lift.

EZpass transponder hot weather ungluing. Who's got best remedy?

I used some random stuff I bought at Walmart and I think Lowes too. I cut full a full size square for maximum area. But like you said, my old transponder may be bigger. I just bought a Sprinter van and need to register it, I'll see if they give me a new smaller transponder.

EZpass transponder hot weather ungluing. Who's got best remedy?

I got my EZpass transponder on the 3rd gen in front of the rear view mirror stuck to the windshield with glued velcro. Tried a couple different types. The hot weather has it falling off constantly, if not that, a slow slide down the glass like a glacier. What is the best method or material to...

    TUNDRA BRAKE UPGRADE parts options

Not sure about that manufacturer, but that option is available from what I hear, and according to Timmy The Toolmans TBU video.

    TUNDRA BRAKE UPGRADE parts options

Was looking around for some good quality parts options on the Tundra brake upgrade. I was talking to my Toyota dealer parts counter guy. He recommended Automotive Brake Warehouse, a brake specialty place local to me in Massachusetts. If anybody has installed some top quality TBU parts, lets us...

Total chaos uca with 3.5 BS wheels help

Thats not that big of a tire. I have 285/70/17 with 1 inch body lift and stock 99 talls, stock control arms, aftermarket wheels with stock back spacing and offset. Had to just trim the small part of fender liner at the pinch weld and bang it in a bit. I have a plate front bumper. I was actually...

    Vinyl flooring to replace carpet?

I hear ya there, I pulled all my carpets out and driving it without. I liked a FJ Cruiser I test drove that had a factory vinyl flooring. I hate carpets in cars or houses, they're nothing but a grunge magnet, and almost impossible to get 100% clean.
