TUNDRA BRAKE UPGRADE parts options

Was looking around for some good quality parts options on the Tundra brake upgrade. I was talking to my Toyota dealer parts counter guy. He recommended Automotive Brake Warehouse, a brake specialty place local to me in Massachusetts.
If anybody has installed some top quality TBU parts, lets us know.

Here is what I went with (2005 Tundra V8 4x4) -
DFC (Dynamic Friction Company) - 13WL 231 mm calipers, reman, looks like a good quality build, zinc coated with nice hardware.
Centric - rotors, nicely painted in the non pad areas
Centric - ceramic pads

Operation is good, long term use will determine my full approval. Anybody else use any of these?

They don't happen to have those in the 199mm Tundra size? As I rather just keep my stock rims and just have bigger caliper and thicker rotor.

Not sure about that manufacturer, but that option is available from what I hear, and according to Timmy The Toolmans TBU video.

I thought I read once that you could use 4th gen dust covers, is this true?

All you have to do is trim your dust shields a little bit. And you will be done .

How much did all of that set you back? I've been weighing out options for doing this swap but I'm trying to balance quality vs. budget on Rockauto.com

All I can say is perhaps steer clear of Napa calipers. So far, I've had to warranty both calipers due to stuck pistons. If I need to do it again, I will just go another route and buy other calipers.

I don't know about the quality control on the calipers, but I saw a writeup somewhere comparing the Toyota factory Tundra rotors to the NAPA "OEM" rotors and the casting looked....less just say.....less refined hwell:

I found a wrecked 2002 Sequoia at a local Salvage yard (they pulled them for me). Got them for $89.00 (no core).
PepBoys has a special (you have to ask) on Rotors and Brakes for around $120 or so. You get both rotors and ceramic brakes. Just go to parts department and ask for Rotor/brake pad special. So far I have had no issues. I will do this again on my other 2 3rd gens in a few.

Would it be alright to use Tundra brake lines with OEM brakes, for a little while? I would love to upgrade to SS lines, and doing a lift would be a great time to shoot for it since they need to be extended anyways - I plan to do the TBU in the coming months, and would like to only buy/install one set of if I can.
Will it work, or too dangerous to chance it? I haven't seen the two compared to one another and know very little about brakes.

Hmm.. I have a set of napa premium calipers on my Tetanus 1 for a year in a half without any issues. These are the original OEM size though. Not the Tundra upgraded ones. My original ones the rust got after 21 years. I mostly pull the pins every 5 to 10k to make sure they don't get stuck in the calipers.
I guess I have to keep an eye for stuck pistons but so far so good.

Good luck. Your parts could treat you better, but if I had to do it again, I'd go with something else.

Ok the full size tundra ones. I only have experience with the Napa premium re-mfg ones that are stock OEM size. No issues for a year and half.
