Weathertech Floor Liners/Mats Installed - VERY IMPRESSED!

Wow old thread - Anyway I've a 2000 manual transmission 4WD (near mint) but have good solid rubber mats but moved to the salt belt so ideally want mats that can catch the snow/salt... these look good but not sure if the clutch would hit the mat and also someone mentioned moisture collecting...

    Winterize your 4runner

Thanks - appears pretty straight forward - looks like a good couple of hrs work and cover exhaust to avoid burning it off... hopefully it will have some effect

    Winterize your 4runner

I have a 3rd Gen 4runner currently mechanically in top shape and zero rust (as sitting in NM and AZ for most of it's life) - relatively low miles anyway I've brought it over to NYC and am scared about the salt destroying the car - I only use it currently on the weekends ....my thought is just to...

    Computer reset

Quick update - drove the car~ 100 miles - monitors were reset - passed inspection fine - no problems with car since the inital issue cleared. One thing I neglected to mention that initially I tried to drive the car with my fuel pump cut-off switch on - I forgot it was on - anyway I din't think...

    Computer reset

Hello...I've got a related issue - I turned my car on one morning and within a minute of normal driving the check engine light went on - then I noticed the coolant temp steadily rising whilst I was driving gently. anyway before it hit the red line (and after waiting an hr) I took it to a shop...

Pulsing under hard acceleration on highway

Update I also found the coil pack was also bad (engine inconsistently misfired after plug replaced when accelerating fairly hard but otherwise normal) so I fixed it and the engine is now running normally. Going through the posts on the various threads it seems that for something like I had, the...

Pulsing under hard acceleration on highway

Thanks. SOLVED I managed to get someone to look at it and apparently a spark plug was installed with cracked insulation. One the simplest things it could have been fortunately. It was under warranty so $0 total. Nice Drives at 90% now which is good enough for me

Pulsing under hard acceleration on highway

OK - I have a developed a sputtering on acceleration. Here's the details. 2000 SR5 manual ~ 116K miles - Had sparks and wires replaced 800 miles ago (3 weeks ago) - typically I only put ~ 3000 miles a year on this vehicle but I went for a long drive. - I Noticed an intermittent misfire about...

How much can my 3rd GEN 3.4L V6 tow?

hmmm I was expecting more negative comments; maybe 4000 lbs total is OK then. My understanding is that a manual transmission is better for towing as well. Clutch was replaced at around 80K miles I think.
