    4Runner #3 for me

Can you tell us more about how it drives compared the gen 5. Do you notice the radio, particularly the camera resolution, is way better? Like you, I also enjoy Toyota's radar cruise and lane keep assist.

Does the transmission hunt for gear above 70 MPH?

Yes, cruise control is always hunting, downshifting at the slightest incline. When leaving Moab a few weeks ago, our rental TRD Pro downshifted to 3rd at 80mph. :censored: Once I hit the Rockies, I stopped using cruise and it held gears much better.

Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

That’s pretty good for your buddy, my friend gets 16-18. Complains every time we talk about trucks.

Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

Agree with previous posters that the eCVT based 4cyl. drivetrain will not perform like the 2.4T / 8speed/hybrid drivetrain. Toyota has said that the new Tacoma will climb an 8% highway grade without downshifting. As someone who owns a RAV4 hybrid, a 10-speed 3.5TT F150, and just rented a TRD...

    Should I trade 4R ORP for a Rav4 Hybrid ?

I preferred ride, size, feel and seating position of the 4Runner. The RAV4 drove and accelerated like a car, with easily twice the MPG. Hugely different vehicles.

    Should I trade 4R ORP for a Rav4 Hybrid ?

My wife drives a 2021 RAV4 XSE (hybrid). During the winter, we run some KMC wheels and Falken Wildpeaks (245/65/17), giving it a much tougher look. We've had the RAV4 for nearly 3 years and it gets around 38mpg combined. We just got back from a 7 day family trip to CO/UT. I rented, via Turo...

The Adventures and Build of my Wife’s 2017 4Runner!

Oh man, that's terrible. Time to break out the clay bar!

Looking at a 5th Gen-is it worth it?

Similar, but different, my current ride is a 2010 Mazda5 (minivan) and the third row is very handy for a quick trip to eat when family is in town. I've looked at the 3-row 4Runners and it would be the same - like you describe. Regarding the original post, I think I would try to buy a new...

Weird electrical issue on 2015 Trail

But until the OP steps up and verifies it was a clean install, those of us with experience solving problems are going to assume that something was hacked, loosely installed or accidentally damaged. Unhooking the floor to seat connectors isn't going to solve the issue if there was something...

New 2015 LE owner, why not these things!!!

Chalk me up in the "prefer manual lift gate" column as well.

    2017 Wish List

Exactly what I meant. Put on a bigger one like GM is using on a lot of their cars and make it easily removable to keep the complainers to a minimum. Sure, it looks a bit goofy at first, but it works. GM engineers have claimed that the air dam on the new Colorado/Canyon was worth as much as...

    2017 Wish List

Toyota uses a combination of port and direct injection to help combat the carbon build up. Ford has a pretty solid history of reliable supercharging ('03-04 Cobras, Lightnings) and the new turbo engines aren't all that bad (Carbon deposits notwithstanding). So it can be done. I could see...

    ***Cracked Dashboard Action Request***

What kind of safety risk do you think it may pose?

You've been recalled (Gas pedal modification by the dealer)

Given the price of used Toyotas, that's going to be a hard case to win, IMHO.
