Reset codes and after driving it a few times it has not tripped any codes.. pulled cam today cam timing was ok but it had atleast 3 bad rockers (one very bad) that one having a flaking lobe on the cam so atleast i found something. Just gotta order rockers now.. shoulda ordered them w the cam but...

thanks for the info guys.. got the fuel filter changed and pulled the codes.. had a faulty tps code.. also a code 10 and a code 12.. i understand 12 im not sure i understand 10.. do you unhook the battery to clear codes? would like to clear and see what the repeating codes are.. already replaced...

Ok so ive had my t4r for a few months now and been steadily working on it. Its 85 efi lots of lift 35s and i just put 529 gears in it.. finally got it legal and have drove it a few times and its having an issue. If you run it high way speed for about 5 minutes the exhaust manifold is glowing...

I dont know alot about 4runners in particular because i just got my first one.. but i have done alot of mechanicing and i would be cautious of the new oil.. new oil in something for sale is almost always a red flag.. maybe it was just time but i would make sure you hear a cold start on this...
