Ok so ive had my t4r for a few months now and been steadily working on it. Its 85 efi lots of lift 35s and i just put 529 gears in it.. finally got it legal and have drove it a few times and its having an issue. If you run it high way speed for about 5 minutes the exhaust manifold is glowing bright red.. im a pretty decent chevy mechanic so i know enough to get myself in trouble..i know that egts can by high for 2 main reasons.. lack of fuel or lack of timing.. so i bypassed the knock sensor to make sure it isnt pulling the timing out of it.. no change. What i need to know is is there a port some where on the fuel rail or any where to hook in a fuel pressure gauge.. also is the only filter on this thing in the tank? Theres not one in the line any where.. last thing is the guys before me had an aftermarket cam put in.. would this thing run if they missed the chain by a tooth? It seems to run ok for tire size. Gets to 60 pretty easy. Usually (in a chevy) it would be a dog if the cam was off... Anyway any ideas would help i dont know crap about toyota fuel injection but i believe its too lean.... Also no check engine light ... It does work though.. came on when i was messing with the knock sensor.. but went back off afterward..
Thanks daniel
