Garaging??
Got the stock 17" wheels and am thinking of putting 20s on my 4th generation (2004) 4runner...will this cause any problem parking in a standard home garage? My curiosity? TIA.
Does anyone know of a rubberized or foam (hopefully pre-fab) matting that I can put in the cargo area to stop items from rolling around after loading up groceries and such??
Damn Seat rattle continues
Took the 4RUNNER to the dealer and they kept it all day long (8:00am-6:00pm) only to tell me that they are :UNABLE TO REPAIR DRIVERS SEAT FOR CLICKING. TOYOTA IS RESEARCHING A UPGRADED SEAT REPAIR AT THIS TIME".
What a bunch of crap, Toyota should have had this fixed...
vcoglian, I love the bull bar and am thinking of getting one but does it cover any part of the license plate? I need to get one that does not block any portion of the plate. Looks great though.
I had a similar experience from the hub caps on a Maxima I once owned; I went to the dealer and he removed the hub caps and the sound was gone. You probably don't have hub caps on your 4Runner but I thought I'd throw that out there. Good luck, I know how iritating unrecoginizable sounds can be.
My daughter has a small black car which has heavily oxidized paint (particularly on the top) and the hood is also contaminated with fine metal particles.
1. I plan to wash it good
2. clay bar the hood ..Mothers California Gold Clay Bar system
3. use a rubbing compound (by hand of course)on...
rabeet, You have described exactly what my driver's seat is doing on my 2004 4Runner; I plan to bring this to the dealers attention on my next oil change. I am hopeful that this problem can be resolved easily since Toyota had this same problem with the 2003. Let me know what happens if you get...
Well finally felt like detailing the 4 Runner. I polished the hood (location of the swirl marks)with Meguiar's ScratchX and then gave the whole truck a coat of TECH WAX; I must say she looks fabulous!
The Meguiar products work as advertised. (in my case)
I just finished polishing and waxing my baby and I was wondering if any of you had a "good" way of cleaning the (terry)bonnets and 100% cotton finishing cloths used to apply/remove the wax and polish. Should I wash them somehow or just dispose of them and start with "fresh, clean, new stuff next...
ScratchX is a polishing product for scratch removal and depending on the severity of your scratches may be just the thing.....my scratches were minor (not deep) ....I will follow up this post after I actually use the product with my personal accessment of its effectiveness. However there are...
tkr128, You're probably right,,....so I bought some Meguiar's ScratchX, I will use it in a few days and then put a couple coats of TECH WAX over that. Should be awesome.
I have heard great things about Gold Class Clear Coat wax; I may give it a try eventually but I know I've gotten great results from the TECH WAX.
Meguiar's makesome awesome products.
Keep'em shining fellas:D
