Cleaning up bonnets after waxing

I just finished polishing and waxing my baby and I was wondering if any of you had a "good" way of cleaning the (terry)bonnets and 100% cotton finishing cloths used to apply/remove the wax and polish. Should I wash them somehow or just dispose of them and start with "fresh, clean, new stuff next time"?? I hate to be wasteful if I can clean them sufficiently enough. Any suggestions????

I put them all in a 5-gallon bucket, add water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Let it soak several hours or overnight. Then change the water in the bucket and do the same thing again. Of course, squeeze out excess water from the towels before putting them back in the water.

Usually by the second soaking the dishwashing detergent has stripped the wax away (that's why you don't use dishwashing detergent on the 4Runner).

When they are clean enough to not clog the washer, then we wash them as a single load, warm water setting.

Try Murphys Oil Soap. Works wonders. I use it to clean my Porter Cable foam pads and it works better than anything I've ever used. MOS is made from a vegetable protein that breaks down waxes and polishes very, very good.
