Here's a closer pic. This wire goes around the front of the motor over to the ECU.

Does this look like the wire that the end of the knock sensor should plug into after it comes out of the plenum. I bought this truck used with the engine light on. I guess it could be possible for them to have forgotten the KS wire when the HG's were done. I can not find the KS wire coming out...

Are they easy to locate. I understand that they are on the drivers side somewhere near and under the throttle body (I think). For the life of me I cant see anything there that would plug intot the wire leading over to the ECU.

I guess what i'm really asking, can someone tell me or does someone have a photo of where the pigtail of the Knock sensor wire comes out from under the plenum. It seems like it would have to be close to the connector I located. Thanks

1995 4Runner 3.0 V6 I think I've finally located the knock sensor wire and if it's what i think it is, it's unplugged. That could be givning me the code 52. If it's the correct black wiring harness that has to small copper male ends inside of it. My problem is I dont see anywhere to plug it...

I have overheat problems and cant seem to fix. I bought a replacement Rad cap from auto zone and it had 0.9 on the yop of the cap. Just wondering if anybody knows if this is correct. Maybe I'm not getting the correct pressure for weird overheating. Thanks Chris

Just took the thermostat out again, put everything back together, drove about 15 miles and it runs like it should normally with a T-stat IN. This makes no sense. It reaches normal operating temp and I have good heat in the cab. Maybe a severe blockage down in the block, doesn't seem to be...

I dont hear any knocking to speak of, It is skipping though. From what I've read a bad knock sensor or knock sensor wire will cause the timing to be off.

The only thing left is to take it to have the block blown out I guess, to see if there is a blockage, the entire cooling system as been replace. T-Stat, Radiator, Cap, water pump, belts, hoses, valve covers and flushed three times. With the T-Stat out, you see water rushing through the RAD...

Still having overheating issues. Went this morning to Toyota and bought the $28.00 T-Stat that has the jiggle pin. Replaced T-Stat and refilled with coolant. NOW, the darn thing over heats and will not cool down from revving the engine to around 3500 rpm. It now gets hat and stays hot, it boiled...

Sounds like could be motor going or more than likely, the window regulator. I had the same problem one time and it was the regulator worn out.
