DIY High Clearance OEM Bumper Mods?

Hey 04rnr, I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I really like the look of your bumper cuts. Think I'm going to to do the same with the straight across cuts front and back. Do you have any details on your tire carrier? Looks like it's welded to your rear cross member and you retained the stock...

Loving the look of the new Baja Boss A/T's

Sidewall Difference Is the sidewall flatter and less aggressive on the XL versions compared to the LT versions? Hard to tell from the pictures, but I know some manufacturers do that.

NEW Tire: Firestone Destination AT-2 and XT

I’m definitely intrigued by the x/t in 255/75r17 C Load. If they are really only 40lbs that is crazy light. I feel like they would look better if the side wall continued into the shoulder lugs without that break though. I’m looking forward to seeing some more pics and reviews as people get them.

    CEL Code P0101 MAF Sensor

Help Please! Ok, so I bought an "OEM" Denso MAF sensor off of eBay for super cheap. It looked legit, had all the correct markings on the sensor, and even the box looked spot on. After installing it, the 4runner started up and idled alright, but once I gave the engine any gas it would start to...

    CEL Code P0101 MAF Sensor

The other week my CEL came on with code P0101 Mass Air Flow Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. I haven't noticed any kind of rough idle or stuttering but the RPMs do bounce around a bit especially while braking. I cleaned the MAF sensor with the specific MAF sensor cleaner and cleared the...

    Rear dome light failing down

Have same issue with my 08 after a body shop dropped the headliner too. What was the trick to getting the light to snap back in?

My better late than never build thread

Just read through your build and it's full of great inspiration! I want to get my '08 on this level one day. Nice work! Also, I'm very jealous of your Toyota quiver, the 5th gen and Tundra are badass too.

    KO2 no traction -Scary!

I had two sets of the original KO's on my Tacoma, both 265/70r17 in C load. I ran them at 32 psi. I got 90k miles out of the first set, which was awesome, and had 50k on the second before I traded it for my 4runner. Wet traction was ok at best. Living in South Florida, I'm used to driving in...

    4th Gen Armor Thread 2.0

RSG Metalworks Bolt On Sliders Installed my RSG Metalworks bolt on sliders over the weekend. These things are burly and bolted up with no issues. A lot of 5th gens are rocking these, and I’m glad they added the 4th gen to their offerings. Great customer service and it only took a month from...

    Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S

These new Discoverer AT3 models look good. I currently have a set of Cooper Discoverer RTX that came on my T4R that are solid but boring looking. I'm debating the 4S in 255/75R17 (31.97 diameter, 10 width, and 39 lbs) vs the LT in 265/70R17 (31.57 diameter, 10.6 width, and 47 lbs). 95% of my...

Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

Stock size, 265/65r17 Cooper Discoverer RTX. They were on there when I bought it, but I don't think they look too bad. Will go up to 265/70r17 all terrain when they are worn out.

Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

Based on Mike's suggestion, I went with 300 springs up front and 505 in the rear on my V6. I'm very happy with the amount of rake and the ride. I posted some pics a page back. I also put in the extended 2nd gen rear links after reading they would help with the ride.

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Tires are 265/65r17 Cooper Discoverer RTX. They were on there when I bought it, but they aren't bad. I will go up to a 265/70 tire after these. Springs are C59-300 up front, 385/385mm, 17mm wire, 586LB and C59-505 in the rear, 405/405mm, 17mm wire, 220LB
