You have to unhook the oem amp that is on that 4runner. Once it is removed you will have the two plugs you are looking for once you unhook them from the amp. The amp is located just below where the factory head unit is. Looks like this... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Well I ended up installing an old Split Second TMC1.1 box on my 4runner today. Previous owner had it and just gave it to me. Called up split second last week... (very helpful, even emailed me the installation instructions for my specific 4runner '98) Installed it today and no more pinging...
