My 2001 4Runner 4WD, with 220K miles. Runs perfect except I am beginning to note that my shifting sometimes is sticky when sifting into gears especially into PARK. Is it the bushings and grommets in the linkage or a problem in the transmission.

I have a 2001 4Runner 4x4 with 200k miles Just so happens we got (Central Texas) a drastic temp change from 80 deg to 28 degrees. Don't know if these may have had an effect on the Cat. I just got a PO440 code. besides a bad Cat, where should I look for solution. Banks 1 & 2 sensors?? Thanks

I have 01 sr5 4x4. I never noticed if the gear selector on the console light up. Is there a bulb out there too. (my D light on cluster is out now)

theft deterrent going off I have 2001 4R 4wd and theft deterrent goes off at night only between 8pm and 1am. maybe later but Im not up!! I called auto elect shop. they say "system is resetting itself" How thoughtful!! I haven't figured out how to make it stop.:happens:
