Horn goes off for no reason

01 T4R HORN GOES OFF WITH 5 0R 6 RAPID BEEPS FOR NO REASON. DOES THIS ONCE IN A WHILE. NO PATTERN ETC. CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN? I HAVE THE T4R IN SIGHT SO NO ONE MESSING WITH IT.:redbrick:

It’s likely a problem with the alarm system or the horn relay. The factory alarm can trigger randomly from a weak battery, bad hood switch, or loose door switch. Try checking battery voltage, hood latch sensor, and alarm connections first.

Long shot here, but I had a '99 Sienna that would randomly beep while driving it, but not while it's parked. It was rust in the steering column bearing making a poor ground. The horn contacts under the air bag were also part of the problem.

Sounds like yours is doing it while it's parked and the ignition is off. That's a head scratcher. If you have a key fob, will it still beep if you take the battery out of the fob? I'm thinking maybe something to do with that.

The OP posted this about 14 years ago and he hasn't been back on the forum for over 11 years so I'm just guessing his horn has stopped blowing, if not he's got a very good battery!!
