Did the RAS to Coil conversion. Put some coils in from a 5th GEN TE. Felt great on the short test drive at least.

Most likely you put in an "adapter" to both support the single din differently and to change the aesthetics so there wasn't a giant hole. You should be able to take the adapter out and by the appropriate one for the double din that you're purchasing.

Well I have a 2 channel amp from a previous car that will be pushing the aftermarket sub. I had planned to put a 4-channel amp in later on down the road. As far as using the multimeter, will I really see enough voltage fluctuation to register appropriately on it?

That's the one I have. It is connected so that it is being supplied to the amp via the stock wiring, not RCA.
