285/70/17 Duratrac Wranglers with no lift?

my 265's just barely rubbed the frame when they were brand new at full lock with fj cruiser rims, but no problems anywhere else (roughly 4.5 backspacing I believe, but dont quote me on that) the 285's really dont seem like they are that much bigger so depending on how saggy you're suspension...

285/70/17 Duratrac Wranglers with no lift?

you'll likely have issues with the pinchweld in the front fender and on the valence of the bumper. I run 265/70/17 and have been considering jumping up to 285s but I didn't want spacers and I didn't think I could fit it. I don't know that you can't though. Don't the 02 limiteds sit the lowest...

SUV pulls right when I hit my brakes.

If all the above solutions don't work then you're driver side caliper is probably starting to stick. Also, did you do anything that could have introduced air into the lines?

    Windshield wipers

I put a rain x latitude blade on the back and used the little clips that come in the package on my 96, I think it was really simple. Just fwiw. The dealer is probably just as easy though.

    Homemade....Let's see what you've made

I'm disappointed BFAD, I didn't see the garage girls in any of those pictures. On the up side though looks like you've gotten the hang of you're new welder. good stuff.

    Problem with Tundra Brakes!!!

I was just about to suggest a little grease. Although, I have the two retaining clips per side, I've greased contact points, made sure everything was properly torqued and tight and I still have a very light reverse clunk. (can't hear it over a normal talking voice)

    stop tech SS brake hoses

What he said. and I would recommend exercising extreme patience, this isn't a job you want to get in a hurry on. I have the worst track history with stripping brake fittings. They always seem so soft and ready to round. You should be pleased with the product to, I was.

    Probably an obvious question.

I'm not sure there is just one answer to this question. Probably depends on the quality of the product and may vary between products. What you got in mind? Whats the plan?

    RS3000 VIP alarm locations - 98 SR5...HELP!

sorry bud. you're kill switch isn't in the same place as my 96's. you would have had to disconnect it to pull the kick panel all the way out. on a seperate note it looks like someone has done a little wiring on yours. do you have an aftermarket stereo? that ground looks added. maybe it was...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Try looking on the driverside kickpanel, thats where my toggle switch is on my 96 with dealer installed alarm (footwell, towards the exterior of the vehicle)

    Coolant/hose/radiator leak

pull the hose and clean the sealing surface. I bet its just not sealing right from that carbonate like buildup.

15 years old and Plan B

Thanks for the sources Thai. I'm coming to the realization that I don't currently have the time to join in on any meaningful and well researched discussions on this topic. Perhaps after I finish up my finals I can return to this discussion.
