No, I was thinking about that earlier this morning. I wired it directly to the 12volt outlet just below the cb. I think I might be picking up most of the static due to that connection (I was in a hurry when I wired it up). I have a feeling a lot of the engine "noise" is being carried through the vehicle wiring harness and picked up by the cb. I will run the 12v+ directly to the battery and ground it somewhere on top of the trans tunnel. I was thinking I should run a seperate ground wire from the chassis to the antenna mount mainly because the mount is bolted directly to the chrome plated bumper. The chrome plating might possibly be giving me a poor ground. I haven't tuned the antenna yet either, to be quite honest, I really don't know how to tune an antenna. I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would "just work" after I installed it.

Well finally got my Blue Sea Aux Box installed. Running a 40 amp main fuse so should be good to handle whatever gets connected.

As well because of my recent "Freeway Mod" I removed the rest I my fender Flares

Changed out my tranny and T-Case fluids. Took maybe 15 minutes. It was such an easy job, that it made me wonder why its been so long since I did it the last time! :doh:

Installed the dealer-installed fog lights that came with some '98 models. Found a set on ebay.

Now can't get the battery to hook up without the alarm going off - an no, I do not have a key fob, there is no red-light sensor anywhere, and the "brain" of the alarm is not under the driver seat.

48 hours now and my truck is still sitting in my driveway immobilized because of the ****ing kill switch on the RS3000 VIP system.

In other words, I'm ****ed. HELP

Try looking on the driverside kickpanel, thats where my toggle switch is on my 96 with dealer installed alarm (footwell, towards the exterior of the vehicle)

Turn the key in the ignition off to on 2x. Solved.

It really is that easy.

They are all pro off roads spacer in the 1.5 inch version. The studs are the perfect length.

I would be interested to hear how they perform. I've heard of varying results of using spacers.... I've heard they're fine and I've heard they affect handling and can cause vibrations at higher speeds. I would be very thankful if you could comment on your experiences after a few weeks!

I want to do the brake mod but I'm struggling with the cost of the mod and replacement of my rims(I've got 2 sets!!!). I would be interested to know if using spacers is the answer! Did you install a pair on the rear, as well?

I have been running them for 4 months with tundra 17 inch rims and falken wild peaks. I haven't had any vibrations at all. I would highly recommend them.
