    PIE trouble after 18 months....

I heard from Logjam and this means the PIE adaptor is dying. If you have similar problems and it is longer than 12 months, then you have to get a new one.

    PIE trouble after 18 months....

I installed a PIE adaptor to my 2003 6-disc head unit about 18 months ago. Just recently it has started acting up. The output is only on the left channel the majority of the time, and now it is occasionally not recognized by the head unit at all. This only happens with the PIE output -...

Thanks guys. It will actually be for service, not to buy. I appreciate the advice.

Does anyone know of a good, or at least not so bad, dealer in Austin, TX? Thanks.

    protecting bumpers

I put on Waag bumper guards front and rear for just this reason. My rear one has rusted a bit near where the exhaust comes out, but it is still pretty sturdy. Waag customer service is worthless, but the bumper guards are pretty nice, not too heavy. Probably about $450 for the pair.

03 Sunroof - another one down

Just thought I would add my sunroof to the pile of those with the loud-noise-now-won't-work problem. Just before it got all the way open there was a loud noise on the drivers' side. When I tried to close it it would start forward the retract, as though it was sensing something in the path...

Is PIE still the best adaptor? (in-dash, 6-disk)

As of Dec 14, LogJam has the new version of the adaptor in stock. Same URL as the one at the start of this thread.

Is PIE still the best adaptor? (in-dash, 6-disk)

So my understanding is that the Blitzsafe requires that the 6-disc in-dash rear audio control be disconnected. So you lose some functionality with the Blitzsafe (or at least I do, since I have the rear audio and 2 headphones). The PIE allows the rear seat audio to continue to function...

Is PIE still the best adaptor? (in-dash, 6-disk)

Thanks for the phone number - I called this afternoon. Turns out that there are 3 possible options from PIE to get into the 6-disk JBL system. The guy I talked to said that the TOY03-AUX works for most people, but that Toyota makes changes to their radios so frequenly that it is hard to keep...

Is PIE still the best adaptor? (in-dash, 6-disk)

Still no response from PIE. They only have fax and email on their website, no phone. Does anyone have their number? Looking back through the posts, it seems that people with the single disk players had more trouble with lockups than with the 6-disk. Not sure. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the info. I wrote PIE and will report back on what they say.

Is PIE still the best adaptor? (in-dash, 6-disk)

I read some of the back threads and it appears that the PIE adaptor was the latest, best thing to get an input into the JBL in-dash 6-disk with rear audio. Is this still true? Is it still working for those of you who have installed it? http://shop.store.yahoo.com/logjam/pietoy03aux.html Thanks.
