03 Sunroof - another one down

Just thought I would add my sunroof to the pile of those with the loud-noise-now-won't-work problem.

Just before it got all the way open there was a loud noise on the drivers' side. When I tried to close it it would start forward the retract, as though it was sensing something in the path. I finally got it to close by holding down the wind deflector with my hand as it closed.

Problem definitely seems to have something to do with the deflector. I have plenty of warranty left, so will just get it fixed at my 30k service.

My sunroof did the exact same thing as yours a few weeks ago. Check the plastic peiece that lines drivers the side of the sunroof because it could be warped. Mine was warped and kept getting caught up in the track when I tried closing it. I thought I needed an entire new sunroof when it was a stupid piece that just snaps on. I don't want the dealer to tear up your truck unless they really have to so it never hurts to try the easy fix first!
