No, stock Toyota lug nuts are not acorn lug nuts. I used Gorilla 41137B Acorn lug nuts. I too bought last November and just had them put on this week. RR2-S gunmetal with black lip, offset -12. According to RRW, as long as the lug nut has a 60 degree conical seat, you'll be fine.

It is strapped down to the netting. There is a reason why the handle of the fire extinguisher is over the edge of the netting. But yes, you are correct that it will be an issue if put up there loosely.

It's stable enough for everyday driving as it is. Haven't gone off roading with it yet. Yeah, it did cross my mind about projectiles, but with all the kids stuff in the 4Runner, what's one more projectile.:rofl:

Hi, to reply with a not so quick answer, I improvised. The accessory bar sits flat on the rack originally.

I've attached some pix of the CXB legs, I had concerns of breaking the legs if I over tightened the screws, but it didn't happen as long as you tighten the legs evenly. I tried measuring the height of the rails. It should be the same as yours.

Almost there I just kept slowly tightening the side screws on the CXB legs one side then the other, then it becomes snug to the rails. I haven't taken the pioneer rack off so I don't if something else is happening, but I haven't had any problems with it since it was installed.
