I thought I miss this when I opted to go with the Oz Tent. If it's OK with you can I get the code. I can't turn down this great deal.

Coupon code expired?

I've been trying to make a purchase and the code isn't being accepted. I called and spoke to "John" and he doesn't know of the 25% off coupon code and offered me a 20% coupon code. wha?

Kodiak call today after I paid for my order yesterday saying that my tent should be deliver by next Monday. Looking forward to setting it up in my backyard and conditioning it before using it on the first trip to Death Valley. Has anyone order their tarp with your order or maybe bought it later? Other than having the close loop at each corner, it's only 10 mil thick. Amazon has a 10x10 16 mil thick and it's cheaper in price even without the promo code. The only thing is there's no close loop at each corner. Also, I was thinking instead of getting a 10x10, maybe it's better to get a 10x12 so you have some extra coverage at the entrance so you don't dirty the inside if you wanted to leave things by the entrance.

I went through this also. The only thing is getting a tarp that is the same width. I bought the 9x8 tent and I did quite a bit of searching for something better, cheaper and at least 9 foot wide. I found cheap ones, but not at the size I wanted. The better ones were close to the price with discount. I ended getting the Kodiak one as it had the hold down loops. You'll probably have better luck with 10 ft wide tarps that is cheaper and better as they are more common. I'd get the 10x12.

Thanks for the advice. Do you think utilizing the Kodiak tarp with the close loop is needed? I like the Amazon tarp that's 16 mil thick

This was my biggest gripe about the tent - the ground tarp was pretty chincy. I think I'll still use it as we normally don't have any kind of "foot mat" at the door with our existing tent, but the ground tarp I have for my existing tent is like an 11x14 and MUCH more stiff. I'm debating on picking up something similar for the new tent since we're keeping the old one around, but TBD.

That I don't know. Until I get it and set it up. But I guess the worst that can happen is that these would be staked in the ground separately. I don't plan to camp in any rocky locations so I think 10ml with reinforced mesh would be ok. The downside to a thicker tarp is bulk and weight.

My tent comes with 18 12-inch metal stakes so you may be poking the tarp if you get a larger size.

I would agree, but when you’re already buying a tent that’s 80lbs, a few extra grams seems pretty negligible lol. The stakes are definitely super beefy, but what we’ve done in the past is just fold the tarp under to the dimension we need.
