So you are saying that the Multi mode case will still function with a manual swap? And all dash lights will work correctly, assuming the ecu thinks it is in neutral? What about the ADD? What wiring does this swap require? I'm confident with the entire process aside from the multi mode mating...

I'm still considering giving this a try. What exactly is tied into the transmission wiring that would let the transfer case/add, etc know that it isn't there anymore? Does all the wiring for the ADD, cruise control, and transfer case tie into the transmission?

Mine is the same. I think it revs a little higher in 2nd to help warm up the engine, not sure why it shifts hard tho. Mine shifts like that in low range also.

Is it possible that the suspension fully compressed without touching the bumpstop because of the spacer? And when it bottomed it just ripped the balljoint apart?

Would it be possible to only buy a new spindle? And move the bearing,seals, abs ring and bearing spacer over to the new one? I've read the bearing last quite some time and I only have 140k miles. It would save me a lot of money.
