    '15 headlights won't shut off

This has happened to me a few times, randomly. In each case I just had to start the truck up and shut it off again, and then they turned off as normal when I locked it. It has not happened enough to bother me, and it's possible it's happened more than I realized - but maybe eventually shut off...

    Let's talk (gasp) passenger-rated tires

You admit to 100% city/highway, AND staying home when it snows? You are a brave man around here. (btw, I'm almost the same. Don't tell anyone though)

    license plate placement

In my province there are only rear plates for regular vehicle registration, so front plates are not common. As a result, dealers don't drill them. When I bought my truck they just threw the front plate mounting bracket in the trunk. However, volunteer emergency responders (I'm in search &...

4Runner did its job last night

Holy $hit - was anyone in the passenger side? Have any pics of that side? Because from that front-on shot, it looks a lot worse than the driver's.

    Will lighter rims & MPG?

In theory yes - less unsprung weight takes less power to turn than more weight. But that is easily negated by tread pattern and wheel size. Those produce rolling resistance, which will have far more impact than rim weight.

    Will a 18.5" jack lift a stock 4R?

Will be changing my tires soon, and my current 15" floor jack is almost certainly not going to cut it. I can get a 18.5" model locally without breaking the bank, but if that does not work then I'll have to pay 2x and get a bigger one online. Anyone have any experience with this? I know there...

    Would you buy again?

    In a heartbeat

Anyone has ANY luck finding the "Canadian Cargo Liner"?

Looks like it only covers the cargo area. The 7 passenger version is more compelling IMHO

    6th gen 2017 4R, will it exist?

Unlikely. That might have been possible for a mid-model refresh, but the refresh already took place in 2014. I too was a little annoyed by the lack of tech (lane departure, blind spot, auto- braking) which is standard in a lot of other vehicles - but for me personally I could not get...

    6th gen 2017 4R, will it exist?

2017 model year will be unchanged. Earliest chance for a redesign is 2018. 4Runner has less flash and features than others, but that is also what appeals to many. The 4Runner demonstrates the classic KISS principal, which is why it is so bulletproof, reliable, and desirable in resale value even...

    6th gen 2017 4R, will it exist?

Considering the 4Runner just had it's best sales year in nearly 10yrs, maybe it's more likely the Pathfinder will get rebuilt as a BOF.

Anyone has ANY luck finding the "Canadian Cargo Liner"?

I had no idea that these were only available in Canada. Although I did hear that they are made here in Halifax, oddly enough. Has anyone tried contacting a Canadian dealer directly? Probably the biggest issue for shipping is they come in bags, and not boxes. So they would have to be boxed up...

People with roof rack bars - how long?

Thanks for all the great replies - glad I checked here before purchasing smaller sizes. I'm sold on the larger aerobars now. The lack of rust is a good point too, as I live on the ocean and will be carrying canoes & kayaks as well. Thanks!

People with roof rack bars - how long?

Thanks - I'd measured previously and thought they would fit, but it is hard to tell without the feet, since those use up some room on the edges. For the overhang, I'm hoping it won't be enough for me to crack my head on. I'm in and out of the back seat all the time loading my son back there...

People with roof rack bars - how long?

Looking at adding some Thule roof rack bars. Not yet decided between the square steel bars, or the aerodynamic bars. I'd leave the aerodynamic ones on all the time, yet the square ones would be better for heavier and dirtier loads (e.g. wood). Thule recommends a 58" bar, which seems pretty big...
