Finally got around to getting this little mod done. It succeeded - immobilizer light went off, and I'm able to start my 2005 4runner with the switch-blade copy. However, (3) remote buttons don't work. Is this expected? Do I still need my original remote? A little underwhelmed and disappointed...

Taking off the lights when I'm driving in cities has another benefit of not drawing attention to my 4Runner in the first place. But I think I do have a fairly workable solution now :-)
