Interesting answer, never thought about using a relay. I've never used one before, but with your diagram it totally makes sense. Would that be better then running another remote turn on for a second amp?
I'm using and Eclipse 726E as the headunit...
Yellow top, as in Optima Yellow Top battery... I didn't really do much troubleshooting other then change which side the voice promts come from to test. I just dont understand how a battery could affect one aspect of the radio. I put the stock battery back in and it works fine.
I have two amps in my 04. Both running from the remote wire off the aftermarket radio. With the sub amp plugged in, my radio reception sux! as soon as I pull the remote from that amp, reception works.
SO, any recommendation on where to get a second remote wire for the second amp? Or any...
I'd be curious to hear your comments on that as well. I went with the iSimple gateway for my wife's maxima and it does the job, though nowhere near an aftermarket radio setup.

SO I attempted to put in a yellow top yesterday, which didn't fit right but that's another story, and after the install my Eclipse navi voice guidance wouldn't work. When it was supposed to talk, it was just dead air. I put stock batt back in and it worked fine? Any clues how that could be...
I've noticed same thing with mine "GPS signal lost" and I'm near the city. I thing it just takes a little bit to get synched up with satellite.
The thing I do not like is that there is no time on the unit unless u initiate the Navi first.
Glad to hear bout the bluetooth streaming, haven't...
I talked to Eclipse, they say the steering wheel controls only freq not presets while listening to radio. (this was different in earlier models)
Also, to confirm...I did not require a PAC adapter to get steering wheel controls working.
nope, I have 04 Sport...and the kit looks similar to the one u just posted. Your install looks better with flush mount.
On your eclipse, does the steering wheel change your presets, or just freq on FM?
Lowpro, any idea what kit was used on your 4Runner w/JBL? I just replaced my AVN5435 with the 726e and used same kit, but it's not as nice and flushmount as yours!
1) Nope, no bell\ding\chime..etc when lights are left on. That is one of the firs things I noticed as well, as all the GM's I've had in the past did this. However, the lights will turn themselves off after few seconds.
2) Again, nope... it sux, I know I've complained about this one too. Only...
Abbs, let me know how you like the screens... I though about picking up a pair from Autobarn also. Also, would you recommend Autobarn, or did you have a bad experience with them?
I'm assuming 03 and 06's are the same...
