FINALLY!!

So I sent the AV module back on 7/17, called two weeks later b/c haven't heard from them. Gary calls me back and states that it has been sitting in their warehouse for the past two weeks 7/31. I was pissed. They sent it to Vizualogic. (More time passes). I recieve the AV module from Viz. on 8/22, just got it installed today 8/28. They work great.

I will see if autobarn will reimburse me for the install, $150 circuit city.

I also ran the antenna for the Sirius from the rear spoiler to the dash, hooked up the direct FM adapter and hardwired for power, woo hoo, now all my wires are hidden. I ran everything through the dash speaker mount.

First off... Yellow is your constant power wire. Red is your accessory wire...

Basically, Yellow holds memory, Red tells the unit to turn on.

Tie the black and green wires together and ground them.

Reversing yellow and red should still allow the unit to come on, it just won't retain memory.

I would check your ground and make sure all cables are correctly plugged into the module.

maybe this was the problem the whole time, if you didn't connect the parking brake wire to ground screens shouldn't turn on.

Abbs, let me know how you like the screens... I though about picking up a pair from Autobarn also. Also, would you recommend Autobarn, or did you have a bad experience with them?

Hey Jay the monitors are great. I personally have never used them but my 3 year old loves them and couple buddies used them and they thought they were great. I actually noticed last night that the screens lit up the entire rear of the truck, so I need to dim them down a bit. Sound has not been an issue. Overheating has not been an issue.

Autobarn has the best price, but their warranty policy with Vizualogic is less to be desired. You have to return to autobarn instead of sending directly to Vizualogic. Which takes a little more time. I'm in N. Virginia, autobarn is in NY, and Viz. is in CA. If you are in CA you can go directly to Viz. and make a fuss like someone else did in the forum and they will help you directly.
