Yellow Top and Eclipse AVN726E

SO I attempted to put in a yellow top yesterday, which didn't fit right but that's another story, and after the install my Eclipse navi voice guidance wouldn't work. When it was supposed to talk, it was just dead air. I put stock batt back in and it worked fine? Any clues how that could be?? Baffles me..

Figures I'm the only one with this wierd of a problem...was worth the try.

I dont even know what a yellow top is but could you identify any troubleshooting steps you performed other than the origional working? Isolated it to hardware or software? Can you verify the eclipse works as advertised on another vehicle? Software troubleshooting would be checking through the menu to activate anything you would need like the mic.

Yellow top, as in Optima Yellow Top battery... I didn't really do much troubleshooting other then change which side the voice promts come from to test. I just dont understand how a battery could affect one aspect of the radio. I put the stock battery back in and it works fine.
