Yeah, so they had my truck over night last week and now say that the problem is the amp and that they have to order a new one. Not to mention the guy that took my truck apart left my map DVD in the other receiver so they are now trying to put their thinking caps on and figure out how to get my...
I've removed the rear paneling that covers the amp before when I installed my sirius receiver, and it pretty much involves disassembling the entire trunk, so I think i'll wait for the new receiver to come in and let the guys over at the dealer deal with that if the problem isn't fixed. What can...
Thanks a lot, unfortunately i'm still waiting for the new receiver because it's backordered. I've never realized how mind-numbing driving in a car can be without music.
I have the factory navigation receiver in my '06 4Runner. Recently the audio stopped working and I was wondering if anyone has ever had the same issue. The receiver produces no sounds, even the audio feedback that is normally heard when you touch the screen no longer sounds. One anomaly that...
Yeah, I installed the sirius receiver into my Nav screen and I THINK that the "mystery" cable that you're talking about might very likely go to the amp. I am interested in getting the Lockpick that ScottyDog posted a thread about and emailed the manufacturer to see if the Sirius would cause a...
Hey..I emailed them myself to see if it will work with my 2006 model and they claim that it will. There is a section that shows what features will work with each model and year car. From the looks of the chart, it shows that the Lockpick 2 will work with all 2004-2006 model year 4runners for...
I'm going to have to vote for Sirius here. Their music stations play all of the current music and in many cases I've heard songs on Sirius from bands that were otherwise unknown, and then sure enough I would hear them on terrestrial radio.
As for Stern, I used to listen to him on radio before...
Sounds great, but I come from the school of thought that in many cases, especially one like this, you get what you pay for. The whistler detectors look like they're very affordable, but I can't seem to find any reviews on how they actually function.
Yeah, I have a few friends with the Valentine 1. It is a great unit, but it does have to be mounted in the windhsield which kinda kills the deal for me.
Thanks a lot, the K40 Calibre system looks great, but like you said, the pricing is high and all over the place from the different dealers that I contact.
If anyone else knows of any other brands, I'd appreciate the help, you can never compare too many products.
Does anyone know of any good covert/hidden radar detectors?
I want a detector that can be installed in the grill and rear of my 4runner that will not be seen due to the fact that their legality is questionable in my area.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
John
I also originally tried the Landcruiser fit kit. It didn't work for me either, but the main cable looks exactly the same as the new 4runner cable, the only difference being that the LC cable has a second cable attached to it that looks like it probably plugs into the amp in the LC. The 4Runner...
