Any advice for sagging rear end?

May want to consider the Air Lift 1000 suspension. It's an air bladder that's inserted into the rear shock and can be adjusted to meet your needs. Air shocks could also solve your problem and are also adjustable. But, the bladder is only around $80.

    Anybody running 285's?

Street Report on the New Tires Well, I've had the new super-sized Revos on for about a week now with 300 miles of driving on surface streets and highways. The ups: These tires are quiet and very smooth, despite the aggressive design. My ride improved dramatically over the the stock...

    Amateur question: tire upsizing

Unless your Runner was purchased with 14 inch rims, the 265/70/R16 is the stock size and would obviously fit. The other size, 265/75/R16, is an inch wider in diameter giving you a 0.5 inch increase in clearance. Neither size should require a lift to fit underneath. Even if you have the...

    Anybody running 285's?

285 would equal approximately a 33 inch tire. I just put the new tires on yesterday. I'll give a report on their performance after giving them a chance to perform. As usual, thanks for the replies guys.

    Anybody running 285's?

Anybody currently running 285/75/R16s under their 3rd generation Runner? If so, I would like to hear your thoughts and experiences with the bigger tires. I've heard going to 33 inch tires may lead to decreased mileage, increased breaking distance, decreased acceleration, increased ride...

    Lift, Tires, etc.

Thanks folks! I just wanted to thank those who replied to my original post. The 3" Revtek kit was installed last weekend. I love the new profile of the rig. It sits noticeably taller and the best thing ..... still handles the same as before (on road). The new ride is nice without...

    Do Lifts Void the Warranty?

About the owners manual ... Kevin from Boston discussed his experience with a lift on a 1991 Jeep Wrangler and the adverse effects incurred on his vehicle and associated warranty problems. Unlikely, but is there any chance the problems Kevin's vehicle suffered were not all related to the lift...

    Generations: A Poll

    What generation of 4Runner do you own? 1. 1st (1984 - 1989) 2. 2nd (1990 - 1995) 3. 3rd (1996 - 2002) 4. 4th (2003 - x)

    Acknowledging other 4runners

I think that acknowledging other 4Runners on the road is great gesture but I also think how it is received is largely based on where you're at. I could totally see myself engaged in a friendly wave while in a rural atmosphere or perhaps a very small town. However, in big cities like here in...

    Lift, Tires, etc.

Guys (& Gals?), I have a 2001 4Runner 4x4 that's currently stock. In a couple weeks, I'll be installing a Revtek 3" suspension lift and a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO tires in the LT 285/75/R16 with a D class rating. Some concerns and questions ..... 1) I have heard rumblings of...
