Surprisingly well. It's been through snow, mud, rain, hot sun, car washes etc. Not a mark on it. I use spray-on rubber treatment after washing (any brand will work). And bonus: bugs have trouble sticking to it.

No I haven't tried it. The bumper seems fine so far - no melting, so I may just leave it as-is. How much heat can the bumper take? I don't know.

Is this the one you got? Looks like the stock hanger (isolator) has a 1.75" hole-to-hole distance. So this one should add ½" clearance.

I've got bumper contact as well. How did you modify the hanger?
