I tried everything - disconnected the TPS - no difference! Disconnected the collant sensor and it still hesitated but it was a little different flavor of hesitation. I hate to take it to the dealer but I may have to. One independant shop wanted 180$ just to diagnose it. Thanks

It is fuel injected - where is the TPS located. I looked at the book I have but it doeas not show it (or I can't find it). Thanks a lot! How would a coolant sensor affect this???

The hesitation is not much just a slight one and is not present when the engine is cold. I already replaced the oxygen sensor but this did not fix the issue. There are 3 male/female white plastic connectors in a bunch right below the intake manifold hanging above the oil filter. Two of them are connected (male port goes into female port) but the third one is empty just having female plastic connector with no male connector going in it. Right next to...

Regarding '85 4runner: There is something looking like a sensor screwed directly above the oil filter into the engine, it looks like a big bolt with a plastic removable round clip at the end and a wire coming out of it. Does anyone know what this is? It had come off loose from the plastic round...

I just got it and replaced spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, all filters and fluids. Especially when it is cold I have to keep my foot on the gas otherwise it will die, usually 2-3 min will do the trick. When it warms up it is better but when I first start I still have to keep my foot...
