Well now I have gotten a good chance to start working on the truck and well I the tubo is good, I have a bad head gasket, and maybe ( big maybe ) a warped head one i get it off Ill know for sure. and maybe bad rings on cylinder 3 and 4 I did a dry and wet compression test on it and the numbers...

Im not saying I dont want the turbo, Im just asking incase I ever had a problem with it and couldnt afford to get it fixed or what ever, would I be able to use the exhaust manifold and ECU from the RE and run it until I get it repaired/replaced? And also I live in ontario canada :P

Well I got a 86 4Runner with the turbo, and I have read about some of the problems with the stock turbo and I wanted to find out if I would be able to take the ECU and exhaust manifold from a RE, then pull off the turbo and swap parts would it run properly?

Yup it's quite alot! And that will be the first thing ill be getting to, I just need to get it pulled onto the shed so I can get out of the snow
