What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

FINALLY found someone in the southern Alberta area parting out a 4runner. So I got a new driver fender, center console A/C vents, clock (even though it's broken I gave him 5 bucks for it) and inner fender liner for 55 dollars CAD. Or like 38 bucks American for all you guys lol! Toyoyta quoted me...

    High Performance 5VZFE?

Yeah doesn't seem worth it considering all of the down time my 4runner would have, plus it would cost more than a SC. I'm planning a 2000 mile expedition with some buddies for this summer, so I'll start budgeting the SC cost and see if I can do it before I set out on my trip lol. they'd crap...

    High Performance 5VZFE?

Thanks for all the info! I've had many SC and turbo powered vehicles, but never done a SC on a high miled truck. I'm not surprised by you guys telling me there isn't really a market, especially with how dependable our 3.4 is. and since posting this thread I've read more on how hard SC can be...

Buying my first 4Runner - good deal?

seems like a fair price at 3500. if it's as clean as you say it is underneath and no milkshake syndromes, I'd pay what he's asking. seems like a solid truck.

High Idle 2k Rpms need help!!!!

I had the same problem last year. At start up it would rev to 1400 rpm then eventually drop down to normal. I pulled the ICV and cleaned it. worked fine for about 7 months then came back, so I replaced it as it was starting to give me issues again. you might need a new one?

    4Runners everywhere!!!

Hey man, You've got a solid base for a fun truck. Look up bilstein lifts 3 inch kit. Only 350$. I'm currently running it as my 99 limited is still a daily driver and it's a good set up. With it being a little cheaper it will help you buy a 265 size tire to balance it out to get the look you want.

Hey everyone, New to the site and owning Toyotas in general. I picked up my first tacoma last year and my wife, who's owned many Toyotas, recently bought her first 4runner. Hope to gain some great ideas on turning my tacoma into a trail rig!
