Hi, I just replaced the original battery in my 06 V6 sport. When I connected everything back up I noticed that the miles remaining on my tank of gas went from 120 miles to 90. Then I filled up the next day, I noticed that the last tank of gas showed 404 miles, when I filled up post battery...

Hmmm....interesting.....just called a large dealership here in Mass (the one I go to is a small dealership). They took the time to look it up and confirmed they are regular plugs. I called the dealership that did the work, called the parts desk and they said they are regular plugs as well. $490...

NCSCOTT, I know I asked that as well, however the dealership said they put platinum tipped plugs in the V6's so they do not have to change them every 30k. Right or wrong it came from the dealership so they would have to honor any such failures regardless of the plugs.

Just an FYI on the Spark Plugs....I had mine 30k service done. Apparently mine (2006 Sport V6) has platinum tipped plugs and they DO NOT replace them @ 30k.

Hi all, just got the wonderful 30k service done. They said my front brakes are wearing and probably by the next oil change I'll need some work done. What has been the avg brake life? I have 06 Sport with 30000 miles on it. Thanks!

whats the deal on resetting the windows? Anything special that needs to be done when replacing the battery?

They probably started your truck shut it off and then ran the battery test so it was drained a bit. I think the rule of thumb with car batteries is replace them every 3-5 years so you may want to consider it just because you are approaching 5 years.
