I'm still working on my swap. I put it out of commission for a long time doing a sas, upgrading suspension, building bumpers and sliders, and other stuff. Right now I'm being stumped by a possible bhg. Was gonna go pull the head today but its snowing! I think I'll still go get a coolant check...

I have an 88 dlx 4runner with a 7mgte mid sump in it. I have the option to do a sas right now. I already purchased a front sump pan from a cressida. To use with the ifs. Which pan will work better or will they work the same? Thanks

Finally got a picture up I think...and I'll have to check on the oil pressure dealio then.

What oil pressure switch? Also I am using a cluster from an 88 v6 but don't know what oil pressure sending unit to use on the block. Suggestions?

I'm just on the tail end of a 7mgte swap into my 88 4runner. It originally had a 22re. Kept the w-56 and for the little I've driven it, it has done great. The mid sump is just to mashed in there though. Does anyone know if the front sump or elusive rear sump for these supra motors would work...

No I kept the same fuel pump in for now. We'll see how it runs but the fuel pressure between the supra and 4runner pumps was pretty similar so I heard that it should run fine unless I'm running way over stock boost.

So I'm just finishing putting a 7mgte jdm motor with 35k into my 88 4runner. I used the 7m n/a bellhousing, 5m motor mounts, and mated it straight to my w56 5 speed so the driveline is essentially stock. Thats the setup. What oil should I run in the motor, trans, transfer case, and...

I'm getting the motor for 1200 w/ shipping. JDM import with 35k on the motor. Comes with intercooler/piping, 5 speed ecu, wiring harness, full intake, has been polished and powdercoated, has a metal headgasket w/ arp studs, not to mention he's letting me have the stand its mounted on currently...

Yeah I forgot to mention that the vibration occurs throughout every gear regardless of the rpm of the engine. Just once I get over 40 mph. The transmission has been iffy on it from when I first bought it but this seems to not be a result of the trans but rather something further down the line...

I have an 88 DLX that gets a weird drivetrain noise/vibration whenever I get over 40 mph. The reason I think it isn't just the tires (265/70/16 Guard Dogs) is that if I let off the gas, the extra noise and vibration goes away even when I'm still over 40 mph. Any ideas on what would be causing...
