i just bought a 96 SR5... when i have the rig in H4, and i make a u-turn on the pavement, it feels like it is braking (or the power to the front wheels are halting).... I am told that this is normal.... is that true? is it harmful to the 4runner's 4x4 system? thanks!

so i just bought a 1996 SR5 4x4 4Runner with 183,000 miles on it... Would it harm (or benefit) the motor if i switch to mobil1 synthetic oil? thanks!
