From what I saw in the configuration tools the base model has nothing on the roof. Not even the parrallel rails.

This go further than just the 4Runner. Pretty much every Toyota model updated in the last 3 years has used cheaper plastics. Toyota's new president said in a communique last month that this would have to stop, that Toyota needed to go back to its old philosophie of making less but better vehicules.

A Toyota Tundra forum lists this as the interior of the 5th gen. Not too sure what to think about it... Sure the look is updated but it feels...cold. Everything is there but nothing catches the eye...and those silver plastics looks horribly cheap. The 4th gen interior is starting to show it's...

Pardon my question but maybe I'm still too new with the 4Runner but I fail to see the problem with this picture. This appears to look exactly like the 2009 Sport V6 I purchased 3 weeks ago. Grill, silver rails, alloys, foglights everything seems to fit... Although mine is a lighter shade of grey.

Autoblog posted some more pics of the new 4Runner. The exterior pic is the same that has been here for 2-3 days but there is also a couple of shots of the trunk with some weird sliding panel... Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably just alternate between 2 sets of tire on the factory rims. Winter tires are a necessity for 2 reasons. 1- They are a legal requirement in Quebec. 2- All seasons tires are useless at -30c, even with AWD. Starting up is one thing, stopping is another one...
