Hi guys im thinking of regearing my 97 4runner cause its killing me on MPG with the 33's on with 4.10's so i was thinking of going up to 5.29's where i can run 35's at stock if i ever got some 35" tires or run my 33's with no problems and was wondering if any one here has did a gear swap there...

the plugs are pretty new and it has no cel light but the o2s might need changeing it has over 230k miles on the truck so im sure they was never changed. The smell isnt the brakes its fuel issue cause i smelt the same smell on various other cars/turcks in the past.

I just did mine today the tensioner pulley went out on my busted into 2 peices ball bearings everywhere so i bought a kit off ebay for $87 free shipping it came with cam seals front main and water pump both pullys and timming belt. it all went on like a charm and this kit was so much cheaper...

Both mine did that when i did the lift i just put new screw down clamps on the otter part of the boot and fixed it. its the cv for sure.

Ok found the problem we installed a new cam senor and it fixed nothing so we build the fan off and looked at the timeing belt and seen like metal balls in there and notice the tensor pully was broke in to peices and wabbly as hell so thats why it jumped time and that was the sound i was hearing...

hey guys i was driveing alone and all sudden it stoped going it loss all hp and the cel late came on with po340 code. it has no hp power and will barely go its on side of the highway broke down. I dont know what it could be maybe a sensor? would that cause it to lose all hp?

I will try a new belt the werid thing is it worked fine on the old altanator its just that the bearings is going out on that one so i wanted to pull it and replace them before useing it again. The altanator is for a 2.7 but its the same expect the plugs are in diff spots so i dont see that begin...
