hey guys i was driveing alone and all sudden it stoped going it loss all hp and the cel late came on with po340 code. it has no hp power and will barely go its on side of the highway broke down. I dont know what it could be maybe a sensor? would that cause it to lose all hp?
Help 4runner just craped out on me :(

Did you check the plug for the sensor? It's on the surface of the timing cover... If facing the motor, it will be on your left, I'd say... 6-8 inches down.
I know that's too simple, but worth a shot.
If that's a no go... I attached some files from the FSM. Start on the DI-68 file

She gave you a good run. I wouldn't complain if a car or truck of mine makes it to 300k. What ever the code is just fix it.

This is why I love this board, quick and helpful responses for a member in need. Reps all around!
The problem is on my 4x4 v6 i just bought the 2wd has never gave me any problems yet.
I havent had a chance to look at it cause it happen after dark but it has no hp and running real slugish like it will barely roll in drive and its so bad that it dosent even have enough power to work the power stearing or break booster.
thats how it gose put all the money into makeing it off road rdy and it craps out right after words

Ok found the problem we installed a new cam senor and it fixed nothing so we build the fan off and looked at the timeing belt and seen like metal balls in there and notice the tensor pully was broke in to peices and wabbly as hell so thats why it jumped time and that was the sound i was hearing all this time which i though it was the altanator bearings going out.
i just hope it didnt hurt the motor. im going to buy a who timming belt kit off amazon tonight and relpace it all

The motor should be fine since the 5vz ins't an interference motor... Replace the belt and drive on my friend.
i found the whole kit on amazon i will be ordering it tonight and replace everything all at once so i wont have to worry about it again 
im glad it happen at home cause i just went on road trip a few days before and was in st louis mo which would had sucked if it happened there.
