Has anyone tried the windshield with the overall bronze tint (vs green or blue)? My 2001 Thunder Cloud 4 Runner needs new glass due to a rock that resulted in a large crack. The glass company said the bronze is almost colorless and would most match my existing faded original Toyota glass...

Thanks all for the responses....OEM seems like the winner, with WIX being a preferred aftermarket. I have a K&N on my FJ62 but never liked the maintenance, so the 4runner will get the OEM. Thanks again!

I feel your pain. I was in a similiar situation but dealing with a blown engine. Used, rebuilt, or new? My advice would be to look into a good used tranny from LKQ. They are a national used auto parts/salvage and can ship items to your mechanic. I decided to go used and shopped everywhere...

Nevada....absolutely no warning at all. Was turning into a parking stall, heard a loud bang when I stopped in the stall then the truck started shaking. Dash lit up...no noises at all...just shaking. Drove 15 miles to the dealership with still no knocking. Even the dealership was surprised...

Let's see, bought my 2001 with 78K miles last October for 12.5K. Just spent 2.5K for new (used) motor, tb, h20 pump, radiator, gaskets galore, yada yada. 15K so far and it hasn't even been a year :(

I am in the process of exchanging out my engine and several people here on the forum have advised changing out the oil cooler o rings. I am placing a Toyota order but have not found a part number for them. Do they have a part number or can I pick them up at the auto store? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Pitbull...despite my luck, I really do believe these are great engines...otherwise it would have left me stranded. Picking up a used engine from LQK tomorrow night. After ordering some parts, hopefully the truck will be up and running soon.

FJ80 & FJ62. Never any engine problems with mine...160K on the FJ80 and 215K on the FJ62. Have a FJ40, but rough driving if used as a daily driver..
