Windshield tint choices

Has anyone tried the windshield with the overall bronze tint (vs green or blue)?

My 2001 Thunder Cloud 4 Runner needs new glass due to a rock that resulted in a large crack.

The glass company said the bronze is almost colorless and would most match my existing faded original Toyota glass. Other options were blue and green

I'm concerned that the bronze may look odd with an essentially silver truck with gray interior.

Didn't Toyota supply the bronze tinted glass with all 3rd gen 4Runners?
My side windows are bronze but my windshield was replaced with standard green before I got the vehicle in 2013. I don't notice the difference in every day use, but the bronze just looks better IMO.

Yeah mine has the bronze, it looks good. Would agree it's basically colorless.

From my understanding, only 1996-1998 models came factory with bronze shade part# 56111-35100 ( discontinued).

1999-2002 should be green shade 56111-35161 (also discontinued).

My green '01 has a Fuyao windshield installed by previous owner, and it is great. Zero laminate distortion/warping, which can be the case with cheaper glass. I would place it alongside a Pilkington (Those are also discontinued IIRC).

My brother needed a windshield on his '02 Sport with gray interior. We also went with a Fuyao windshield.
As you said, Icchik, the tint hue will be hard to notice, but I would personally stick to the green shade. Looks bit more correct on the 2001-2002.
