I know this is an old thread, but I have the same exact issue currently. This happened once before in the first year of ownership. It too fixed itself after a few weeks. Now it's happening again. I wish there was a way to reset this thing!

Thanks Southman, it sounds like in your case, when you restarted the car it would function as intended (your phone would connect)? In this case, neither the phone(any phone) NOR the Nav will function at all.
