Heater/Fan some times won't turn off.

Thanks. Using the recirculation setting cured it!

Heater/Fan some times won't turn off.

I have had a recurring issue with the heater/fan not turning off when pressing the off button. Sometimes I can still feel air come out the vents even when off (at whatever last temp I had it set too). Lately I have just been adjusting the temp to around 69-70, then turning it off so it doesn't...

    Tires - Need some feedback

Thanks, and if I am reading the charts right I should be at ~44-50psi..., right? Where's the 34 coming from? I.e.., all I am doing is drawing straight line over from C to LT line graph. Am I reading this wrong?

Nevermind on the pics..., figured it out.

    Tires - Need some feedback

Well, pulled the trigger today. Put the GY MTr Kevlar 285/70/17 on. So far so good, no clearance issues, no rubbing, etc..., but have not taken offroad yet. I have not noticed any power loss issues, but have not had it over 50mph yet. I had the wheels turned fully both ways and looks like...

    Tires - Need some feedback

Thanks for all the feedback! Another question..., and didn't catch this unitl now. The 275/70/17 GY MTR Kevlar is load range E..., the 285/70/17 is load range D. I am ditching the idea of a full size spare in the stock location to save cash (will just use the stock tire if needed in a...

    Tires - Need some feedback

Well, after going near blind on the internet I have narrowed it down to the Goodyear MTr w/Kevlar in either the 255/75/17 or 275/70/17, both are almost the same diameter and will still fit in the spare location. I guess it comes down to whether the extra width of the 275 is worth the extra...

    Tires - Need some feedback

For those running sizes that don't fit in the stock spare location, what is your preferred method of carrying a spare? Could I get away with my stock spare if needed (265/65/17), I.e., turn off any 4wd and put on the front? Thanks!

    Tires - Need some feedback

Another good option I have looked into..., looking for a bit more aggressivness (I know, I want the funtion and the looks)! I still always come back to the duratrac!

What size are you referring too?

    Tires - Need some feedback

Looking for an aggressive design, but yet functional in winter/rain on the pavement, so I have been leaning more to the MT tires with some siping and the more aggressive AT tires (like the duratrac). I also really like the 255/75 and 275/70 sizes but my options are limited there...

    Tires - Need some feedback

Thanks for link, checking it out now. I didn't mention the BFG MT due to its new size 255/80 17, tirerack has 33.3" has the diameter. Since the 285/70 is 32.8" (and I have read where people have had issues with the body mount at this size) I took it off the list. I may be able to get around...

    Tires - Need some feedback

Choosing tires is starting to become a headache, so thought I would try to get some opinions here. I thought I was set on 285/70 17 Duratracs (2008 4runner V6 4x4). After doing some reading here is where I am at: 1. 285/70 17 Duratrac: May run into some powerloss issues (especially if...

    New Gears Questioin

Thanks everyone for the info. Will let you know what I end up doing..., after reading another thread I may now consider the goodyear MTr kevlar in 275/70 17 or 255/70 17 so that may change things a bit. Seems they might be a little better fit (and I would still be able to get a spare in the...

Anyone running the GY MT/R kevlars?

Have you had a chance to run the MTr's thru snow or snowy/icey conditions, if so how did they do? I am looking at 285 duratracs for my 2008 (has the v6), but after reading this thread starting to consider the MTr in either 275/70 17 or maybe even the 255/70 17. I live in WI, so snow/ice...
