Heater/Fan some times won't turn off.

I have had a recurring issue with the heater/fan not turning off when pressing the off button. Sometimes I can still feel air come out the vents even when off (at whatever last temp I had it set too).

Lately I have just been adjusting the temp to around 69-70, then turning it off so it doesn't continually push cool/hot air in.

Anyone experience this and have any ideas of how to fix it?

How much air do you feel coming out? Do you still hear the blower motor when the fan is turned off?

Most importantly do you use the recirculation setting on your HVAC? Not using recirculation allows the vehicle to be fed air from the outside which will simply blow through the HVAC system as if the unit was turn onto low. Turning off the blower motor does not close up the system (that's what those little knobs on the vents are for) and thus will simply allow air to naturally pass through the HVAC system in its preset temperature setting (the Blend-Air Door won't move when you turn the system off and thus air will pass through the heater core/evaporator) often getting a little warmer as the evaporator will become warmer after the A/C system is turned off.
