I'd be down for doing that trip! I have GPS for exactly that route too starting at the Cottonwood canyon entrance and it stops off at an Amethyst mine and the Ajax Mine itself on the way. When would you like to do that run?

I loooove my softtopper! I've had it 4 or 5 years and sold the hard top. I like that its a 2 piece design so there are not multiple pieces to have to put on and off and keep track of. And if you're ever caught in the rain or something, it takes 2 minutes to roll the sides down and snap them...

The parade is fun, then they do the tree lighting, then the awards from the parade - Copperstate 4 Wheelers won 1st prize for best decorated/lit vehicle group and they will be at it again this year. We're just going to watch and cheer them on, not participate. We could meet up and hang out...

Yup - I think they have 4 or 5 rigs in the parade. Last year they won a 1st place in the parade for best decorated vehicle group. Its going to be a good time.
