Sedona/Northern Arizona January 16th

Wife has a bridal shower in Sedona and the couple is actually getting married on the broken arrow trail. Anybody want to head up to Sedona and while the wife is at the party run the trail with me? I'd like to have foreknowledge of the trail before their wedding.

Specifically [MENTION=116114]cf_coder[/MENTION] I know you enjoy that trail a lot and have done it before.

Schnebly Hill Road is a good scenic road down from Flagstaff area into Sedona too.

Sure. What date and time are you looking at? I have work during the week but should be able to peel away this coming weekend (I hope). Obviously I'll need to coordinate with the household social executive, but it should be doable. I was going to try and head up there this weekend to see it covered in snow, but the day just got away from me...

I'm also coming home on Wednesday for 10 days, so again, if we could clear it with the bosses, I'd be down to go up there that time too.

I might be able to make it that weekend as well - kinda depends on if I've started my engine swap yet, and/or if there is any fresh powder up north, cuz I can't pass up a fresh pow-day for snowboarding.

Ok... So, who's up for a Sedona run this Saturday (12/19). I'm thinking we plan on hitting the trail around 10:00am, which means getting on the road no later than 8:30 from the north side of town (say around the 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright where I hear there are bagels... )

After Broken Arrow, we could always take what's left of our vehicles and head up the road to Soldier Pass -OR- run up to the top of Schnebly Hill Road and then into Flagstaff. Might be fun to get the rigs into the snow up on top. Then it's a quick bite to eat (in either Sedona or Flagstaff) and head home.

The shower starts at 11. I would guess we would leave around 8:30 or 9 from our house. If we had a meet up point I would suggest near the 101 and the -7 or possibly even camp verde.

I may be up for this trip. There is a pizza restaurant in Phoenix that some friends of mine have been wanting to try. This puts us 4 hours closer :cheers:

Pizzeria Bianco. Supposed to be one of the best in the US. We have many really good pizza places here so this place better be damn good.

Maybe my next road trip will be to Moose's Tooth pizza in Anchorage. That would be a fun one.

Can this trail be done easily on stock tires? I am going to be testing the mileage difference between the Nitto M/Ts and the stock tires. But I don't want to tear up the stockers if the trail is really rocky.
