Just because the E rated tires say 80 psi, doesn't mean you need to run them there. 32 psi without a load is totally in the realm of normal.

Actually airing down the tires is your best bet. 18-20 PSI will get you a lot further than a lift alone.

why? Well I want to build an overlander type rig. I am also a SAR member and would like to use it for rescue missions. current motor is OK, just a little sewing machine esque. I own several other diesels and revel in their ability. maybe a Hilux motor would be easier?

Thanks again, I will take you're advice. I tried a few things last night, it climbs hills great even with stock tires!! I did notice that when turning around it really felt tippy even on a fairly light incline. Maybe my butt gauge needs adjustment.
