I put on a 5th gen Gibson exhaust on mine, too...just to add to the 5th Gen what-if conversation...

The LEDs need to be almost siliconed in...they're a lot more fickle in how they stay in the harness than the OE halogen versions...I have experienced the same thing and you can either liberally apply dielectric grease or use silicone to keep them in place without rattling...it's worked for me...

Go 4.88! it's like 200 RPM higher at 70mph...the extra torque and driveability is far greater with 4.88s...I don't have these gears but what EVERY single person in other forums and even different platforms state is they wished they just went with the higher gears...200 RPM is nothing

I'd take it back and see what they say it is...it could be almost anything...like a poor performing tech service at dealerships...I wish there was an easy answer, but I'd have them check it out! 200k miles, if maintained well enough, is nothing for this engine!

Incredible achievement on the mileage and Toyota love! Also, great idea and yes, it can be done...however, you will likely need an FJ's transfer case linkages or perhaps an over-seas special...nothing in north America except the FJ stuff...

You can grab a Ford or GM diode from O'reilly's or AutoZone (seriously just ask for a diode) and throw it in the ALT-S socket fused piggyback and you'd be good to go.

Can you snap a photo of what you're referencing? I think I have the same setup but I'm trying to confirm...I'm wondering if you can just acquire the lens and swap it out from the GX47?
