I surely don't know yet but I found a gear head on yota tech that disagrees somewhat with you and states... All VZ engines have the same bell housing patter on the block,I know this for sure on the 5VZ-FE and 3VZ-E, 99% sure on the 3VZ-FE

Would anyone happen to know if and where it might be printed on the motor whether it is a 5vzfe? I was given all the paper records for a 98 engine swap into a 4runner but I just skimmed it over...I'll have to take a better look I guess.

I have a 95 sr5 and its supposed to have a 98 motor in it. It plainly states 3.0 when you pop the hood so I'm a little concerned. Can anyone verify at least the possibility that I have a 3.4 but maybe a 3.0 (manifold cover)? Thanks for any advice
